In its quest to improve medical infrastructure in the sibling States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh MEIL has under taken several programmes wishing to help those health care institutions to cater to the poor.
MEIL has set up an Operation theatre complex in Durgabai Deshmukh hospital in Secunderabad. A Rs 5 crore G+1 modern complex with advanced facilities was built for the benefit of patients of the hospital.
The 18 room facility was built under company’s CSR programme. Four operation theaters and two Autoclaves, special beds in post-operative and recovery wards were provided by us.
The facilities provided at the operation theatre complex are on par with corporate hospitals. Greenery was also developed keeping in mind the need of a healthy atmosphere for the recouping patients.
In an effort to mitigate acute oxygen shortage Megha has imported cryogenic tanks with the active participation of the Indian Air Force. MEIL has imported cryogenic tanks for both the Sibling State of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh from Bangkok and Singapore. Each cryogenic tank has the capacity to distribute 1.40 crore litres of medical oxygen.
With the help of these Cryogenic tanks the respective State governments have collected oxygen from designated points and distributed the medical oxygen to hospital that were facing severe oxygen crunch.
MEIL has built and handed over a Medical Oncology facility for the renowned Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Hyderabad at a cost of Rs 18 crore. Each bed in the oncology wing has its own ventilator and Oxygen facility. In addition to a Leukaemia ward the MEIL has provided Rest 70 lakh worth High Flow Oxygen equipment , three ventilators and CPap and IPap equipment to mitigate Pandemic related rush in the ward.
Through this program the management has expressed their interest in partnering in the Swacch Bharat campaign introduced by the Central Government. The plan is to take up cleaning and hygiene activities in 50 villages in the near future. This continuous process will include a sponsorship amount ranging from Rs. 30000 to Rs. 50000 from MEIL. This is a valuable extension to the various CSR activities taken up by MEIL Foundation.
One of the major goals of the mission is to create awareness against public defecation and build public toilets wherever necessary. The management is hopeful that the employees will participate in the mission proactively and fulfill the aforementioned objectives.
Established over 3000 beds facilities with Oxygen across the Tamil Nadu state to mitigate crisis resulting out of the pandemic. MEIL has set a record of sorts by installing 500 Oxygen beds in just 72 hours in Madurai city.
It has supplied Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) and created infrastructure facilities for hospitals in Tamil Nadu. In coordination with CREDAI Tamilnadu and G Square Realtors, MEIL established beds with Oxygen facility in various places of that State. Mr M. K. Stalin, Chief Minister, Tamil Nadu directly supervised setting up of these medical infrastructure facilities.

The child mortality rate in Indian villages is alarmingly high due to water-borne diseases. In this regard, MEIL focuses on its water management projects on a daily basis to provide clean drinking water to crores of citizens across India.
At a micro level, the management has taken initiatives to set-up RO drinking plants in all the villages it has adopted. Through these plants, we ensure that every single drop of water that flows into the community is pure and disease-free.
Open defecation is the biggest curse that affects the lives of people living in villages. In addition to hygiene issues, it has an adverse effect on the image of the country in the eyes of outsiders. To counter this plight, MEIL has sponsored free toilets to more than 250 households in Paspula and Muraharidoddi villages of Telangana State.
